Newton Abbot, England, - A 72-year-old man was charged with a total of 46 child sex offences following a police inquiry into allegations by former pupils of a British school, police said.
The police investigation into Forde Park school at Newton Abbot, in western England, stretched back to 1960, said a spokesman. The school closed in 1985.
Officers interviewed more than 120 former pupils over complaints against 20 members of staff.
Police are also investigating accusations of sex abuse at homes for children in state care in the surrounding area.
