Gang Arrested In Mexico
Guadalajara, Mexico, - Police announced Tuesday they arrested four alleged male prostitutes on charges of killing and robbing gay men after having sex with them.The gang operated in the tourist resort of Puerto Vallarta, in the city of Guadalajara and in the state of Nayarit, said Fernando Ayala, commander of the Judicial Police force in the state of Jalisco.
The suspects are charged with killing four people between March 1998 and February 1999, and are being investigated for further killings.
Police said US citizen Robert Williams Duval, killed on March 18 in Puerto Vallarta, was among the gang's alleged victims.
"There is information that the alleged killers had accomplices and might be linked to crimes committed in other cities," Ayala added.
The suspects allegedly had sex with their victims before drugging them and beating them or strangling them to death, he said.
Ayala said the four were tracked down after they used a stolen credit card.
