Black InterNationalism
 |
America is built on many diverse cultural contributions, individual nationalities staying proud of their heritage. It will NOT thrive when everything is all jumbled together as a uniculture. /......../ White supremacy is a misnomer. /......../ Without Blackness there is no life!
The time is ripe to heed the long-standing, and often overlooked, calls for Black Nationalism. Contrary to the prevailing, misinformed assumptions, Black Nationalism as an ideology, and inaction is not a rabid assertion of Black supremacy. Unlike white Nationalism and patriotism, Black Nationalism and its proponents do not seek to humiliate, exploit, or oppress any person or people. Rather, Black Nationalism is a positive affirmation of the cultural, political, social and economic identity of African people. In its most rudimentary forms, it reacts to the brutally violent and repressive conditions under which African people live. Racism and white supremacy creates an environment where whites are viewed with suspicion, and Black folks are beholden to each other. The most basic expression of Black Nationalist thought is that Black people in America are bound by the common experience of racism and the struggle against it.
Be honest with yourself. If you prefer integration, civil rights or the white way, or any other non-Black way, then that is your prerogative. However, be intelligent enough to not interfere with the efforts of Black People who prefer the Black way. Every Black individual does not have to be involved in Black Nationalist activities for Black Nationhood to become a reality. Face up to where you stand and stand there; but don’t stand in the way of Black Nationalism.

3.7% of married Black American women and 8.4% of married Black American men had a non-Black spouse. 6.6% of married Black men and 2.8% of married Black women had a White spouse. 0.1% of married Black women were married to Asian American men, representing the least prevalent marital combination.
